2018 Year in Review | Magnolia Rose Company | Houston Wedding Planner

This year was filled with many twists and turns as I re-introduced myself and Magnolia Rose Company to the Houston area.
Let’s revisit our soft introduction to the area. We had a blast planning and designing Holly-Dae and Ben’s anniversary styled shoot at The Madera Estates. The Madera Estates was a beautiful backdrop from the terracotta shingles to the beautiful stonework, how could you not love this venue nestled in Conroe, Texas.

This anniversary shoot opened the doors to making new industry friends and building lasting relationships that will help our couples as each of you plan your wedding. You can see more from this amazing shoot by visiting 7 Centerpieces.
Up next another one of my favorites. This one was out of our realm just a bit. A few days before our clients 60th birthday, I went secret agent, lol. Her husband and I had to sneak around the house without her noticing items were missing out of her closet. With his help, I was able to get 4 outfits and 3 pairs of shoes packed and loaded in her car for her secret photo shoot with Ronnie Bliss Photography. Once we arrived at the studio for what she thought was just a day at the salon, she received full-on hair and makeup from one of my favorite stylist Sunny Hair and Makeup. Sunny had her curls just right and needless to say she rocked the photo shoot. Take a look at some of my favorite shots.
That’s the way to celebrate 60, right! Young, wild, and free.
From luaus by the pool to Disney inspired princess parties and unicorn fun we saw it all in the party-sphere. We even had a tribal themed baby shower in the mix.
Now on to the wedding world.
We had a blast creating content for a few new venues coming our way in 2019. Up first is an intimate fine art studio, The Oak Atelier. The Oak Atelier is a beautiful home that was transformed into a venue for intimate events, with two rooms to hold events and a studio space specially designed for boudoir or bridal shoots. Take a look at some of our favorites from The Oak Atelier.

Traveling from The Woodlands, we found this beauty perched on a pecan orchard, The Estates at Pecan Park is unbelievably beautiful. From the all-white interior and grand staircase to the old pecan tree adorned with a swing, you would be crazy not to love this place.

Now for the hidden gem, still on the north side of town, the Mirage sits on the lake in Willis. This venue gives couples many options from saying I Do pier side or in their grand ballroom you are guaranteed to wow your guest.
Responding to a vendor looking for a designer and florist, landed us the perfect opportunity. We designed an amazing spread for Texas Wedding Magazine in conjunction with Houston’s largest bridal show, The Bridal Extravaganza. Check out some of my favorites from the Billboard Bride shoot, you may recognize her from billboards around town.
Every year we carve out some special time to get in touch with our creative side and show you something that’s unique and you wouldn’t typically see from us. This year we enjoyed playing with alpacas at The Gallery Houston and a miniature unicorn at The Oak Tree Manor.
At The Gallery Houston, we showcased the Pantone Color of the Year, Living Coral. Check out some of the beauty we captured.
At Oak Tree Manor we had a miniature unicorn and how could you not play with all things magical! The color palette was everything with hues of purple and iridescence. Then to top it off we went over the top with the bride’s bouquet. Unveil the magic and let it inspire you.
While partaking in all the amazingly awesome awesomeness, our owner, Shamira stopped to deliver her handsome baby boy. Look at how adorable he is.
And shortly after, she engaged in some freelance work with Dextor Rodgers and Nadia Simone with some modern designs for the union of an industry friend, Darryl of D’Concierge.
Lastly, some of our popular pieces were showcased by a few Houston photographers along with us styling some tablescapes and floral arrangements.
